Neptune speaker cables are hand-crafted with precision! They are fashioned with single crystal copper. The conductors are surrounded by Purist Audio Design’s proprietary Fluid\u00ae dampening material. The Dominus speaker cables can be ordered in a standard speaker or bi-wire configuration. They come in a stereo pair with four cables in the set. The left channel has a separate positive cable indicated by a read lead and a separate negative cable indicated by a black lead. The right channel has a separate positive cable indicated by a read lead and a separate negative cable indicated by a black lead. The speaker cables are available with Purist Audio Design\u2019s interchangeable spades or bananas. They can be changed out, easily, by unscrewing one and screwing on the desired tip. What They’re SAying<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI’m testing the xlr and the Neptune speaker. I have never heard a cable as good as this one in this and much higher price range. Corvus is another amazing cable that brings us closer to live music. Shows layers. classical music sounds phenomenal, resolving but not tiring. Hear individual instruments.\nBig, spacious, warmer than leaner… though not in a way that is overly warm or ripe… the Neptune line is a whole lot of fun. Which is what we are hearing when we play music–not only from ourselves, but from many others passing through. You get the resolution and details, but not in an analytical, in your face presentation. Nothing is pushed at you, suggesting that the cables are quite even in terms of frequencies–that is, they are not hyped or rolled-off. There is neither a euphonic coloration or any sense of some anomaly to push this or that on our music. Balanced and musical. Sweet. Warm and musical.\nA while back I purchased by chance a Dominus Power cable by Purist Audio Design. Wow! what a great experience………that was for my downstairs system.

\n\nAfter much thought I decided to upgrade my stereo cables on my upstairs system which is Coincident Total Victory speakers (200 lbs. each) with their mono amps upgraded with hand made 300 B tubes Takasuki from Japan and a highly modified Cocktail Audio with a separate power source. Being the demanding listener, I went for the Neptune cables and they arrived with separate black and red cables or 4 all together. Never seen that but seems like a great idea. One of them is thicker than my old Coincident cables.

\n\nBascially, could not believe my ears………these cables are incredibly quick, full of information, with plenty of punch. 1000 shades of dynamics down to the most delicate passages………the most astonishing thing is the PRESENCE of the music. I was totally involved and wanting to hear more all the time. For example, on the Pat Metheny track ” It’s for you”, the big fat bass seemed almost concentric and finally I could tell that in the back ground Pat was not strumming but doing arppeggios with his pick. Supertramp’s Goodbye Stranger was totally different in the velocity of the music and it was like I had never heard it………..great voices…………….Chick Corea playing with the Steve Gadd band………spontaneous, fabulous, music…………..etc. etc.

\n\nThanks Jim!!\nEx-NASA engineer Jim Aud and his team have advanced their thinking, culminating in a reference fluid-shielded cable–the Neptune. It is the newest addition to Purist Audio Design’s Diamond Revision series, developed partly in response to customer feedback to make the cables more flexible and user-friendly, while also increasing their performance. The Neptune comes in a four-cable set with positive and negative signals separated. The fluid shields the 7AWG bundle of fine single-crystal-copper strands from RF, EMI, and vibration. The shielding helped produce a huge soundstage with explosive dynamics in a system with Atma-Sphere electronics and Classic Audio loudspeakers.\nShowing with Ralph Karsten\u2019s Atma-Sphere Novacron amps…and the Purist Audio Design Neptune series of cables, there is no denying the synergy.
